When Bloggers Leave…

witchlike

I was dismayed this week to discover that one of my favorite bloggers, HocusPocus13, a.k.a. “Jinx” has left the building.

Jinx was a voracious blogger and re-blogger. In addition to her own really cool and unique posts, she also scoured WordPress for the best of the best. Jinx often put up as many as 20-30 posts a day, all containing a bit of magic. Her motto was “path to a more productive life.” Her wise words were full of sound advice, scintillating spells, yummy recipes, beauty and creativity.

Over the past few days, I noticed there had been nothing posted by HocusPocus13 in my feed. This was unusual. Perhaps she was slowing down the pace? Maybe she was on vacation, or had taken a brief hiatus? (After all, blogging can be hard work!)

Upon further investigation, and much to my dismay, I found out that her site had been deleted…

3/25/2020 Day 4 Mandatory Isolation

social distancing distractions

Today was a bit different than the others. I woke up in a total panic worried about my children and oddly a dog that we had growing up that I positively despised.

I don’t know why I was worried about the dog The human mind is layered and my layers are layered with layers.

Waking up startled is never really the greatest way to start a day. However I could have been startled awake by a gun or someone in uniform announcing marshal law was here and I was on the list of trouble makers to be rounded up and executed on the public square ( that’s how I’ve died my last 3 deaths. It’s getting a tad annoying)

I didn’t spend more than ten minutes on social media or online period today I just felt the energy and watched out my window watching all the people who were breaking…

That gratitude post thingie — Parsnips & Prayer Beads

(Just this once, I promise.) I’m angry. If anyone’s following this, they might have noticed. I can’t seem to get a handle on how furious stupidity makes me, and that’s not just a virus thing; that’s been for as long as I can remember. So I’m going to sit and think and write about things […]

Sea Dragon

MagickMermaid

In a quiet cove, a young sea dragon discovers some colourful shells. Sea dragons are rather shy creatures. So many people might think they don’t exist. 😉

We must protect the oceans so sea animals, birds, plants and sea dragons can flourish.
Plastic debris causes the deaths of more than 1 million sea birds and more than 100,000 marine mammals every year.

Facts and figures on marine pollution
http://www.unesco.org

  • Land-based sources (such as agricultural run-off, discharge of nutrients and pesticides and untreated sewage including plastics) account for approximately 80% of marine pollution, globally.
  • Agricultural practices, coastal tourism, port and harbour developments, damming of rivers, urban development and construction, mining, fisheries, aquaculture, and manufacturing, among others, are all sources of marine pollution threatening coastal and marine habitats.
  • Excessive nutrients from sewage outfalls and agricultural runoff have contributed to the number of low oxygen (hypoxic) areas known as dead zones, where most…

Phase II

Perception

My friend, this world remains an esoteric mystery on the surface; only comprehended by the observer in the depth of his thoughts.

Reality has been bothering me in every aspect whether it’s a song by a lover or the averted gaze of my fellow companions. There’s always something that triggers my emotional state, leaves me speechless with provocative judgmental thoughts.

This is it.

For how long can I stretch?

For how long can I keep myself standing up when I clearly know that there is no ounce of strength in my body left.

Am I just pushing myself into the oblivion again?

For years I’ve trained myself to always keep a track of my emotions; situations that instigate my aggression or put me in a vulnerable state, must be avoided at all cost.

These complex emotions have tricked me into narrow passages that had led me down the void lane…

September 23 Prophecy: Signs on the Mayan Calendar?

Jaguar Spirit

SOURCE: Wikipedia By Brad – Revelation 12 Daily

September 23, 2017: Revelation Prophecy

An astronomical alignment in the Constellation Virgo that has never been seen before, is the latest focus of End-Time Prophecy. A Heavenly Alignment moving into place on September 23rd offers correspondence with a Biblical accounting of Prophecy in Revelations 12:1-17. Is this just the next of many end-time prophecies? Your guess is as good as mine.

Synchronicity on the Mayan calendar suggests this could be a meaningful day of personal revelation. I’m sharing aspects here that relate to September 23, 2017 (12 Earth/CABAN) for your own discernment.

This is a VERY IMPORTANT TIME to discern our own meaning for ourselves.

Temper to match?

a boat against the current

“While the rest of the species is descended from apes, redheads are descended from cats” – Mark Twain

I have been told many times that I scare people before they get to know me. Some of these people then get to know me and we become great friends. Others get to know me and find me even more scary, but that is beside the point. When I was younger, I got picked on a lot for my hair colour but my parents told me that it was just because I was different and children can be scared of ‘different’. As I result I think I was always self-conscious of my hair and so never considered myself the confident, fiery tempered stereotype. However, over the last few years I have decided I have no problem with being different and am in fact proud of it. So I have quite grown into my hair colour…
