Will you stand above me? Look my way, never love me?

The Self-Actualized Life

Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling down, down down…~ Simple Minds

I had this great post written and, with a flick of my wrist and a wave of my (non-existent) wand, it disappeared. So, I shall try to replicate it. Take two…

I got up this morning and had a pretty decent night sleep, which can be a minor miracle for me at times. It wasn’t raining (a rarity here lately) and the Lil Bit’s migraine was gone to the point that he could go back to karate class. When we got there, the kickpad (to practice kicks and punches at home) had arrived. This was pretty exciting as he’d been waiting quite a few weeks for it to arrive. Since they had opened the pool at our property, we went and got swimming suits so we could go swimming later. We stopped in to visit a friend at work…

Like so many people, I am a paradox. I am a politically conservative vegetarian. I am from a Christian background, and still tend to like those values, but am a metaphysical astrologer trained in science who has an interest in the magic of ancient Egypt and a weird belief that some piece of our essence can live on a server. I live in Texas, but like chatting with my international Wordpress pals the best. I learn by teaching. Technically, I am a "Leo," but I am very, very Aquarian with a dose of Scorpio. I bitterly complain about Algol (and Algol personaliites), yet it is the one star that defines me most (other than Regulus). (Which, oddly, makes me an Algol personality.) I am a reclusive lover of peace and quiet who has the Ascendant in the Via Combusta (the most conflict ridden part of the zodiac). I am an incredibly private person with a blog with over 800 followers and 50 to 150 regular daily visitors. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

      1. I would go a step further and offer that, from a behavioral perspective, it makes sense. With your background, you already know how to work with an audience. And that is one of the most critical skills in developing a book that will sell.

      2. Wow thank you so much for even saying that. The reason I started blogging is because I was writing a book and I learnt that it would be easier to find an agent with an online presence so I began developing one! (You can read about it in Vaginas, Blue Balls, and Boobies Oh my!, one of my first ever posts!)
